Artist Biography
Julie Eigenberg co-wrote “Why Not!” with Michel Camilo, which the Manhattan Transfer helped earn a 1983 Grammy Award.
A lifelong New Yorker with deep jazz roots, Julie has shared stages and studios with legends like George Duvivier, Leon Pendarvis, Anthony Jackson, Vicki Sue Robinson, Michel Camilo, and the Brecker Brothers. Her voice, both grounded and soaring, anchors the album’s cinematic tone. Produced in collaboration with artists like Joel A. Diamond and Jay Azzolina, My Jazz of a Life is more than a tribute to the genre, it’s a living journal of love, resilience, and creative freedom.
Her debut album Love Is Starting Now, produced by David Spinozza for Polystar Co. Ltd Japan, highlighted her artistry rooted in classic jazz while embracing pop/Latin rhythms. A soulful interpreter of jazz standards and bold originals, Julie continues captivating audiences with her rich tone, emotional storytelling, and stylistic agility.
