BIOGRAPHY:

Julie Eigenberg (Julie E.), began her singing career in NYC, performing with such greats as George Duvivier, Vicki Sue Robinson, Moogy Klingman, the Brecker Bros., Leon Pendarvis , Anthony Jackson, and Will Lee, to name just a few.

Julie co-wrote the song, “Why Not!” with Michel Camilo, and the Manhattan Transfer won the1983 Grammy Award for Best Jazz Vocal of a Group with their Atlantic Records recording of “Why Not!”.

She went on to record her album,”Love is Starting Now”, produced by David Spinozza. Julie is a soulful interpreter of classic Jazz standards and her own pop/Latin influenced genre or songs. Her music comes from the heart and she sings with a confidence and style that has captured fans from around the world.

Julie Eigenberg is a master singer in many styles including an accomplished jazz singer whose roots run deep in the vibrant musical landscape of New York City. Born and raised amidst the diverse cultural tapestry of the Big Apple, Julie was immersed in a rich array of musical influences from an early age. The soulful sounds of jazz legends such as Billie Holiday, Ella Fitzgerald, and Sarah Vaughan helped shape her artistic vision and inspired her to pursue a career in music.

Emerging from the city’s intimate jazz clubs and renowned performance venues, Julie quickly made a name for herself with her distinctive vocal style and emotionally charged performances. Her voice—warm, expressive, and imbued with both classic elegance and modern nuance—captures the timeless spirit of jazz while resonating with contemporary audiences. Julie’s ability to reinterpret standards with fresh arrangements and heartfelt improvisations has earned her acclaim among critics and jazz aficionados alike.

Over the years, Julie E has graced the stages of iconic New York venues, contributing to the city’s storied jazz tradition. Whether performing at intimate clubs or larger festivals, her live shows are celebrated for their authenticity and the deep connection she forges with her audience. In the recording studio, Julie’s work spans a range of projects that mix beloved jazz classics with innovative original compositions, each album a testament to her evolution as an artist and her commitment to pushing the boundaries of her genre.

Julie produced an 18 song album for Richard Erwin Corey, a multifaceted artist from New York City, known for his talents as a singer-songwriter and painter.
